Future plans for the blog1 min read
I think that one of the coolest jobs right now is to be a Pluralsight author. Teaching others what you know is awesome, getting paid for it is even more awesome. I’m only 23, so I don’t have much experience, but I would like to author a Pluralsight course in the next 1-2 years. Until then, I can use my blog for this, but I need some help to set it up first. That’s why I signed up for a free course by John Sonmez, where he will send me some tips over the course of 3 weeks that should give me the basics of having a blog.
You can go to his website, http://simpleprogrammer.com, and take a look. I just received the last email from the free course, and now I’m starting to apply what I have learned. The one thing that really stuck in my mind is that I have to be consistent, so I’m planning to focus on articles/tutorials/tips about UWP(Universal Windows Platform), but I will also write about other stuff occasionally.
John has a more advanced course available here, for 297$. I think I will do a review after I finish it, but I can tell it’s going to be a good study resource for my blog, just by looking at the contents of the package(interviews with top developers, social media tips, etc).
